Hi everyone - thanks for checking out who I am and what I am all about! I’m not used to writing about myself in the third-person so this entry will be a little more informal than a standard bio!

I’m a PMP-certified Project Manager with a BS in Information Technology. I have been working for the US’s largest vision insurance company for the past 6+ years as a Senior PM in our Corporate Development department. I mostly work on our larger, strategic software development projects but interested in learning more about all types of projects from different industries. My current interest is in learning more about how to execute merger/acquisition projects more thoroughly - especially from a company integration point of view.

Prior to my current place of employment, I worked for a large, computer manufacturing company as a Product Manager and for a large commercial real estate developer prior to that. I’ve been in project management, in one form or another, almost my entire life. It’s something that comes pretty natuarally to me and it is one of the more defining characteristics of my life - that and being the best Mom and Wife I can be! (The picture is from my current trip with my daughter, Cam, to Europe. This was taken at the top of a hill over looking the Nice, Italy skyline.)

I love technology and I am a complete gadget fanatic! I discovered podcasts last year when I purchased my video iPod. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked! I got the idea to combine my love of project management, talking, learning, and sharing, with my obsession with podcasts and started the Controlling Chaos podcast.
